    Menlo Ventures is the largest privately held venture capital firm in the United States. They are involved in a number of unique ventures. These ventures include the Hover, a drone that flies autonomously over land and water. They also invest in other startups, such as Wiggers, a startup that creates and sells a line of environmentally friendly furniture. They are currently seeking funding for their next venture.

    Relyance

    Relyance AI is a privacy solution that provides visibility into data flows and allows organizations to understand their data processing and contractual requirements irtdaily. The company has raised $30 million in Series A funding. They are headquartered in Mountain View, CA and have over 30 employees. This includes two-time tech entrepreneur Abhi Sharma.

    The startup uses machine learning to monitor data and generate universal records of processing activities. It connects to code repositories and external vendor APIs to map data flow and data lineage businesslognews. Additionally, it surfaces key terms from the codebase, such as the purposes of processing, the basis of transfer and the data types.

    With this technology, Relyance enables organizations to quickly achieve compliance. To date, the platform has been adopted by a wide variety of customers. These include companies such as Workday, Adaptive Insights and Dialpad. Moreover, the company has an impressive advisory board, including Preston Thomas (Dialpad), Jyoti Bansal (Relyance), John Vrionis (Unusual Ventures) and Leila R. Golchehreh (Data Protection Attorney) and other leaders in the privacy industry.

    Hover

    HOVER (pronounced hover) is a tech startup based out of San Francisco that makes the tiniest 3D-generated home improvement app available newmags. The company has more than a few cool tricks up its sleeve, including a smartphone-powered platform that takes the DIY from idea to install. It may even be the de facto system of record for exteriors in the long run.

    Founded in 2011 by a pair of entrepreneurs with backgrounds in the tech industry, the company isn’t exactly a newcomer. They have raised an impressive $87 million to date. Menlo Ventures, Google Ventures, Standard Industries, and GV are among the investors to have participated. Their latest round of funding is the largest to date. This includes $60 million in Series D funding and $25 million in series C funding. Most of the money will go towards developing their technology and building their team. As a result, they’ve doubled their staff in the last eight months.

    Locus Robotics, a leading developer of autonomous mobile robots, has closed a $117 million Series F round of funding. The round was led by BMW i Ventures, along with Foothill Ventures and Zebra Technologies. Fox Robotics plans to use the funds to expand its manufacturing capabilities, expand its business internationally, and invest in its talent. This is the second round of financing for Locus.

    Amper, a developer of software tools that help manufacturers modernize their production lines, recently closed a $11 million Series A round of funding. Lewis & Clark Ventures, EQT Ventures, KOMPAS, and Planet A were also part of the round. As the startup looks to become a leading Factory Operating System, it is attracting interest from other investors. Flow artdailynewsonline, a collaborative platform for hardware engineering teams, has also received a seed round of investment. Flow is a single source of truth for hardware engineers, helping them design complex systems and get products to market faster.
