Gwent Card Groups, Rarities, Factions and Positioning
In Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, Gwent Cards can be divided into groups, rarities, factions and positioning. Each card in Gwent belongs to one of three groups: bronze, silver and gold. There is a limit to the different designations, which means that a deck can only be made up of unlimited bronze, six silver and four gold cards. Gwent has cards with four types of rarities, Common (which could show in the bottom-right corner of white color), Rare (which could show in the bottom-right corner of blue color), Epic (which could show in the bottom-right corner of purple color) and Legendary (which could show in the bottom-right corner of white orange)! Each Card in Gwent has its own faction, a card must belong to one of the six factions, including Neutral, Monsters, Nilfgaardian Empire, Northern Realms, Scoia’tael and Skellige and the corresponding colors are Browns, Red, Black, Blue, Green and Purple! And each card has its own position, including Melee (Front), Ranged (Middle), and Siege (Back).
How do you get premium Gwent cards?
To make cards, players need some scraps, which can be got from daily rewards and your unwanted cards! Depending on a card Rarity, when you mill them you can get different amount of scraps. By destroying the premium cards, you can only get the same amount of scraps as well as the normal cards, but you can get extra Gwent Meteorite Powder when destroy premium versions. By turning your daily rewards and unwanted cards into Scraps, and then you can use these scrapes to craft cards that you really in great need to enhance your deck.
When you want a premium card, you can craft it by using scraps; and it goes the same with normal cards! Or in other situation, if you have normal cards in your inventory, you can use them to transmute into premium cards with the help of Gwent Meteorite Powder. Normal Card can be destroyed by Gwent Meteorite Powder in the transmuting process! You can also destroy the premium and normal cards to get scraps. And if you mill the premium cards, you can get meteorite powder. Because transmuting will grind out a card and this card can be milled into premium, there is no transmute button on these cards now. You can also filter in the lower right corner of the deck builder. In a word, you can only get the premium card by using scraps currently!
The amount of scraps you can get from different cards
When you destroy common cards, you can get 10 Scraps. When mill Rare cards, you can get 20 Scraps, while epic cards can reward you with 50 Scraps and the Legendary cards can help you to obtain 200 Scraps. If a player wants to craft common, rare, epic and legendary cards, they need 30, 80, 200 and 800 Scraps respectively. The above numbers clearly show that you cannot make a card with a given rarity to make a card with the same rarity. That’s why you have to think carefully about what you use your hard-earned Scraps for. You can create a Premium card from an ordinary card, which is an animated card, but it requires meteorite powder.
