WHAT IS THE LATERAL FLOW TEST RESULT

    JonathonBy JonathonApril 5, 2022Updated:January 25, 2024No Comments3 Mins Read

A COVID-19 fast lateral flow test should be reported.

Using a rapid lateral flow test kit, you can notify the NHS if you have been infected with the coronavirus (COVID-19) using a quick lateral flow test kit (COVID-19).

This service is not for reporting results from a test kit you already paid for.

    • An on-the-spot coronavirus test can be performed using a rapid lateral flow test. The difficulty comes with a handheld device that shows the results.
    • Using a rapid lateral flow kit doesn’t matter if the result is positive, negative, or void. It also doesn’t matter how soon you receive the result.
    • If you are a contact of someone who has COVID-19 and is taking the tests as part of your job, you must submit the results of daily fast lateral flow tests.
    • If it has been more than 24 hours since the event, you will not be able to submit a result. Only a certain number of findings can be made public at a given time.
    • This service is also available in the Welsh language (Cymraeg) (Cymraeg).

Test results for lateral flow should be reported.

    • Ensure the expiration date on the box that the test was shipped in. Retest if your current test is no longer valid; don’t report the results. Conduct a new test using the same box; remove any tests that are no longer relevant to the investigation;
    • Before you begin, make sure you have all of the necessary supplies.
    • Access to this service requires that you have the following:
    • “The component of the kit that reveals your result” is the QR code or ID number written on the test strip (the part of the kit that shows your result)
    • To confirm receipt of your results, please provide us with your cell phone number.

Consider asking someone to help you report a test outcome.

    • If you are unable to access the service online, call 119. From mobile phones and landlines, it is entirely free of charge
    • We’re available seven days a week, by phone, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The number 119 can be expressed in approximately 200 languages.
    • SignVideo can assist you in searching for a BSL interpreter in the 119 zip code.
    • An app called Be My Eyes connects you to experts in NHS Test and Trace. Apps for iOS and Android are available. You can select “NHS Test and Trace” under ‘Specialized Help’ from the Personal Health drop-down menu.

If your test kit malfunctions, don’t hesitate to contact us right away.

You can contact us online or by calling 119 if anything in your COVID-19 test kit is missing or damaged or if you are injured while using the test kit.

It is imperative that you thoroughly inspect the test kit before using any of the included components.

If you get a positive result, you’re good to go.

You were probably infected at the time of the test if your COVID-19 results were positive. Keep to yourself for the next five days following your test date and avoid interacting with others.

Why it’s important to share your findings

It is important to report results to:slower the rate of infection in your community;s• protect people who are at higher risk of disease;s• prevent and decrease the virus’ spread;s

Assess your infectiousness (even if you don’t have any symptoms) (you may not have symptoms)
